Our Story

Lindsay and Adam met a few days after Christmas in 2002. The two had been doing their best to avoid meeting each other for as long as possible, seeing as how they went to the same high school in Poway and the same college at San Diego, but on that fateful winter night in Clairemont, fate finally managed to join them together. Lindsay claims to have picked him out of the crowd that night as soon as she walked in the door; Adam gives the credit to his lucky pink shirt.

They became immediately inseparable, to which Lindsay's roommates would surely attest, and spent just about every waking hour together through their college years. Well, except for the hours they were in class, of course. Through sorority socials and fraternity parties, Associated Students meetings and Student Computing outings, it was indeed rare to see one without the other.

Being a little bit older, Adam graduated first, in 2004, but being physically unable to locate himself more than two miles from Lindsay at any given time, he continued working at USD. Lindsay graduated in 2006, which was just in time, as Adam had just started a new job somewhere else. Lindsay started working at Scripps Health Foundation soon after graduation, and with Adam safely at UCSD, (which happens to be right across the street from Scripps) they decided it was time to move to the next step.

Well, at least they decided to talk about it very slowly, as neither was in any particular hurry to grow up. Lindsay continued to move up at Scripps, planning bigger and bigger events, and Adam started graduate school at SDSU. But eventually they realized that they had been dating for almost six years and that they still liked each other, so Adam went ahead and proposed on October 8th, 2008.

And now, the date is set: August 9th, 2009.
